Financial Modeling

Kacific Broadband Satellites was an innovative Singapore-based startup seeking financing to place a satellite over the Pacific Islands to provide internet connectivity to previously unconnected territories. 

Between 2015 and 2019 (working as part of a Portland Advisors team), built and maintained a financial model to support the debt raising process, which evolved as the financing discussions progressed with different partners, ultimately resulting in the completion of a USD 160m debt facility. 

The model was built based on extensive interviews with the management of Kacific to get a full understanding of the business model, capturing the key inputs and variables that allowed the model to dynamically reflect the operational cash flows and the evolving impact of the prospective debt financing.
